Vermaelen in

Sorry for the blogging delay in between…not that I was very busy with work or anything, I was just not feeling like blogging. Was travelling on the weekends or was not in a mood to type anything. So today while I was sitting late in office thought I should put in a word about Thomas Vermaelen. I would not want to comment on the obscenity that is going on in Madrid.

Vermaelen seems to be the ideal fit for the defensive role. He captained Ajax in the last season and joined Arsenal for 10 million pounds. He comes in with the right pedigree of a decent experience in the Dutch League and good exposure in the Champions League as well as the UEFA Cup experience.

Much more on the footballing action later…Hope Vermaelen becomes one of the best serving defenders for the Gunners for a long time to come.

  1. I heard a name called Serdar Tasci or something from Bundesliga being linked to us. So are we to witness a defensive overhaul? That wont be an ideal situation. I want him to keep the current lot of defenders, if that happens, then this is signing is going to help us.
